In the village of Pucklehurst, Lyla Graves works with her two aunts at their detective agency, Gravely Yours. However, when the police quickly rule Rhea Carnegie’s death a suicide and close the case, Lyla’s aunts refuse to let her investigate and put her on temporary leave from the agency.

Not one to be deterred, Lyla recruits her best friend and village baker, Odhran, to help her investigate Rhea’s mysterious death. How could she not? Rhea’s body had been found on a bed of flowers, arranged like a painting, on the floor of the bookshop.

With everyone insisting it was suicide, Lyla and Odhran follow leads and instincts through village tourists, Rhea’s past, and a recent secret boyfriend who happens to work at the art gallery in town to find out what actually happened to Rhea on that fateful night.
